Taiwanese optical manufacturers Vizionfocus (4771.TW), Pegavision (6491.TW) and Ability Enterprise (2374.TW) reported strong August revenue, supported by contact lens demand and the commercialization of AI-related optical products. Vizionfocus posted consolidated revenue of NT$437 million, up 70.64% year over year and 38.9% month over month, while Pegavision reached NT$750 million, up 18.88% year over year. Ability Enterprise reported NT$1.313 billion, up 34.7% year over year and 13.2% month over month, near a 10-year monthly high. Japan accounted for more than 60% of Pegavision's revenue, while Vizionfocus benefited from orders in mainland China and Japan. Ability Enterprise said robot vision, drone optics and European AI smart lenses have entered mass production, shipment or delivery, with 2026 expected to be a critical year for its transformation toward intelligent vision. Silicone hydrogel and functional lenses remain important growth areas for the contact lens makers, while the market will assess whether all three companies can sustain momentum as new products scale.
