Yunfeng Financial, indirectly held by Jack Ma, has been added to the eligible securities lists for Hong Kong Stock Connect (mainland-to-Hong Kong trading links) under both Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, effective September 7, 2026. Eligible mainland investors will be able to trade the group's Hong Kong-listed shares through mainland securities firms. Yunfeng Financial also disclosed that it had bought 10,000 ETH, Ether's ticker, on the open market for a total investment cost of $44 million, including fees and expenses. The purchase was funded from the group's internal cash reserves, and the ETH is recorded as an investment asset in its financial statements. Beyond Ether, the company said it plans to explore adding diversified mainstream digital assets, including Bitcoin and Solana, to its strategic reserve assets.
