Airbus delivered 475 jets from January through August 2026, a 9% increase from 434 in the same period last year, including 57 aircraft in August. The total keeps the European planemaker broadly on track for its 2026 goal of 870 deliveries, which would be 10% above the 793 jets delivered in 2025, although the company needs to increase A330 output. Deliveries of the A330 wide-body jet (large twin-aisle aircraft) resumed in August with one handover after a lost tool was found in an A330 tail section, prompting a suspension in June and July. Airbus has delivered 11 A330s this year, down 31%, while A320-family narrowbody deliveries rose 11%. Airbus sold 67 planes in August, including eight A350F freighters to an undisclosed customer. Its year-to-date sales total reached 1,157 jets, or 1,091 after cancellations.
