Tuya Smart unveiled Doova, an AI home robot for seniors living independently, at IFA 2026 in Berlin on Sept. 7, 2026. The robot combines companionship, daily assistance, health-related reminders, home monitoring and connected-device control. It uses LDS LiDAR, sound-source localization and AI-based posture-recognition algorithms to respond to voice requests, navigate to users, assess their posture and initiate video calls with family members when needed. Existing capabilities include emergency alerts after 60 seconds without a detected response, live two-way video calls, medication reminders, scam-risk warnings, help with bills and letters, entertainment, and personalized suggestions. Tuya also presented the European premieres of its AI Home, AI Robot and AI Energy ecosystems, a full-stack Matter portfolio, the natural-language Hey Tuya experience, and development tools including TuyaOpen, Tuya Cobuilder and Tuya AI Coding. AI Energy links balcony solar, storage, smart metering, energy distribution and electric-vehicle charging, using real-time and dynamic tariff data from more than 800 electricity providers and over 1,000 dynamic-tariff providers across Europe. As of June 30, 2026, Tuya's AI Developer Platform had more than 2,092,000 registered AI developers across over 200 countries and regions.
