Capro shares briefly fell to 300 won, down 91.8%, on the first day of liquidation trading before recovering slightly to 340 won, down 90.71%, at 10:11 a.m. on the 8th. The sell-off followed the resumption of trading after a suspension lasting more than two years, with investors facing no daily price limits during the liquidation period. Trading will continue through the 16th, followed by Capro’s delisting from the KOSPI Market on the 17th. Capro, a basic chemicals manufacturer listed since May 28, 1974, had its shares suspended in January 2024 after reporting capital impairment exceeding 50% or revenue below 5 billion won. The Korea Exchange later determined that the company met delisting criteria after reviewing its improvement plan, going-concern viability, management transparency and investor protection. A court rejected Capro’s request on the 1st of this month to suspend the delisting decision, allowing the process to resume.
