SK Biopharmaceuticals is expanding its research and development organization with global neuroscience and oncology specialists as it seeks to build in-house capabilities from drug discovery through clinical development. The company appointed Dr. Kim Tae-ho, who has more than 20 years of neuroscience R&D experience including 12 years at Novartis, to lead a newly established Neuroscience division reporting directly to the CEO. The division will cover neuroscience and translational research, portfolio strategy, next-generation pipeline discovery and open innovation. In oncology, SK Biopharmaceuticals is advancing radiopharmaceutical therapy and targeted protein degradation programs, while its U.S. subsidiaries are reinforcing clinical development, pharmacovigilance and medical affairs with eight MDs. The company is also pursuing an East-West Bridge strategy linking Asian discovery and early development with global development and commercialization.
