KakaoPay Securities launched Stock Home within the investment tab of the KakaoBank app on Sept. 4, enabling users to research and trade domestic and overseas stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), exchange-traded notes (ETNs) and other products without switching applications. The service was announced on Sept. 8 through a partnership between the two companies. Customers can link KakaoPay Securities and KakaoBank accounts held in their own names, while users without a securities account can open the required accounts sequentially in the app. Stock Home includes charts, order books, watchlists, an investor community and recurring stock purchases, with layouts tailored to investment experience. KakaoPay Securities plans to add a 26-week ETF accumulation program and a random stock draw while expanding links among Kakao's financial services.
