Upbit listed Cluster Protocol's CP and Solana-based meme token USELESS on Sept. 8, 2026, while canceling planned support for Hemi's HEMI after signs of suspected token theft in a security vulnerability attack the previous day. Bithumb also opened a CP/KRW market. Upbit began CP trading at about 8:30 AM KST through KRW, BTC and USDT pairs, while Bithumb began CP trading at 09:30. Upbit opened USELESS trading through BTC and USDT pairs at 9:30 PM KST, but HEMI trading did not begin. CP has a maximum supply of 5 billion tokens, with about 1.37 billion, or 27.38%, circulating at launch. It is intended for payments for AI inference and GPU computing in Cluster Protocol's decentralized compute network. HEMI is the planned native token of Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 network Hemi, and USELESS launched without a presale or team allocation under a fair-launch model. The HEMI cancellation notice was posted Sept. 8 and attributed to Minseung Kang.
