Kiwoom Securities (039490) has redesigned the standard-mode home screen of its Hero S# mobile trading system, giving users direct access to holdings, pension and ISA assets, AI market commentary, investor community features and rewards. The homepage is organized into Stocks, Community, Products and Benefits menus. Domestic and overseas holdings, account-level valuation amounts and profit or loss can now be viewed without opening the separate balance screen. The Right Now section ranks stocks by measures including views, buying momentum and percentage changes, while AI-generated market summaries are provided before and after the market opens and at the close. Users can also customize and reorder Service Shortcuts. The Community menu shows stocks receiving increased attention in investor discussions, provides Kiwoom Securities Alert summaries of brokerage research reports, and displays opinions and performance from rapidly growing and top-performing investors. Cumulative community users exceeded 1.73 million as of the 20th of last month. The Products menu brings pension savings and ISA asset information, valuation gains and losses, and investment-profile-based product searches to the homepage. Benefits features previously limited to simple mode are now available in standard mode, allowing users to earn Kiwoom Points through missions such as daily check-ins and use them for fractional investments in South Korean stocks or funds. Kiwoom Point subscribers exceeded 1 million as of the 21st of last month, about one year and eight months after the service launched at the end of 2024 and roughly seven months after reaching 500,000 subscribers at the start of this year. The app also consolidates Coupang and Naver Plus Store rewards, shareholder benefits and Reportoon research-report webtoons. Kiwoom Securities has expanded non-investment services, including Naver Plus Store rewards of an additional 1.5% to 4% of purchase payments in Kiwoom Points and an earlier service offering 2% of Coupang payments in points. The company said the redesign was intended to connect investing, communication, wealth management and benefits more seamlessly, and that the updated homepage is available after updating the app. The move reflects South Korean brokerages' broader competition to build financial super-apps, with the community and rewards user bases viewed as potential foundations for advertising and partnership revenue beyond trading commissions.
