Industrial and Commercial Bank of China’s Chengdu branch has issued Sichuan’s first loan under a Token computing-power scenario to a high-tech company in Chengdu High-tech Zone. The facility is the first to incorporate AI computing consumption and token procurement costs into the borrower’s credit assessment. The company develops software, mini programs, apps and AI agents but had struggled to obtain financing because it lacked conventional collateral. ICBC based the loan on actual computing bills, token-use logs, computing-service contracts, AI business orders and accounts receivable. The proceeds are designated for large-model API calls and leased computing capacity, helping address the cash-flow mismatch created when computing costs must be paid before project revenue is collected.
