Henley & Partners’ Crypto Wealth Report 2026 estimates that 135,694 people worldwide hold at least $1 million in digital assets, including 92,272 Bitcoin millionaires. The report valued the crypto market at $2.6 trillion as of Aug. 31, 2026, with Bitcoin accounting for $1.6 trillion. Bitcoin was trading about 38% below its October 2025 peak after falling below 50% during its mid-year slump, a smaller decline than the more than 75% drawdowns following the 2011, 2013, 2017 and 2021 peaks. The report counts 290 centi-millionaires, including 151 whose holdings were in Bitcoin alone, and 23 crypto billionaires, including nine Bitcoin billionaires. It estimates that about 742 million people hold digital assets, including 371 million Bitcoin holders. Henley & Partners says the portability of digital wealth is increasing the importance of residence, citizenship, taxation and regulation for crypto investors. Its Henley Crypto Adoption Index ranks Singapore first among 36 countries for the fourth consecutive year, followed by the UAE, Hong Kong, the USA and Switzerland. The UAE received a 10 out of 10 tax-friendliness score, while Malta led in regulatory environment. The report also highlights stablecoins and changing wealth-management strategies, including staking.
