Fractal Bitcoin completed its first halving at block 2,100,000 on Sept. 8, 2026, activating FIP-102 and reducing the Fractal-side block reward to 6.25 FB. The upgrade assigns an additional 6.25 FB equivalent per Fractal block to a future Bitcoin mainnet distribution budget without increasing FB's total supply. Merged Mining, Permissionless Mining and Index Mining retain their 1:1:1 allocation ratio, while nodes and indexing services operated normally during the first 10 minutes after activation. FIP-103 will specify eligible Bitcoin interactions, distribution rules, technical architecture and FB conversion procedures. Research and implementation are planned over three to six months, testing is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026 and a full rollout is targeted for the first quarter of 2027.
