Lemonade announced the availability of its renters insurance in Kentucky on Sept. 8, 2026, offering coverage from $5 per month through an app that supports quotes, purchases, policy updates and claims. The company says about 40% of claims are handled instantly and that its rates are approximately 30% below the national average, based on company and industry data. Customers may qualify for further savings through policy bundling, eligible home safety devices or annual billing. Dan Timsit, Head of Renters Insurance at Lemonade, described Kentucky as another step in the company’s U.S. expansion. Lemonade says it serves more than 3 million active customers, employs more than 1,200 Lemonade Makers and operates across the US, UK and Europe. Its insurance products have received recognition from Forbes, CNBC and U.S. News & World Report. The company also offers Home, Pet, Car and Life insurance, uses AI (artificial intelligence) and operates as a Certified B-Corp (company meeting verified social and environmental standards).
