United Natural Foods Inc. reported fiscal fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of $0.69 per share, above the $0.61 analyst estimate, while sales declined 0.7% year over year to $7.642 billion and were roughly in line with expectations. Network optimization and the unwinding of short-term project work reduced reported sales growth, although underlying sales increased at a low-single-digit rate. Adjusted EBITDA rose 48.3% to $172 million, and the margin expanded to about 2.3%. UNFI forecast fiscal 2027 adjusted EPS of $3.00 to $3.50, sales of $31.2 billion to $31.8 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $730 million to $780 million. The company expects first-quarter sales to decline as optimization continues, followed by profitable growth in the second half. Shares rose 4.03% to $45.70 at the time of publication.
