BitFuFu reported August Bitcoin production of 174 BTC, a 55.4% increase from July’s 112 BTC as newly secured capacity came online. Cloud mining (customer Bitcoin production using purchased hashrate) rose from 40 BTC to 86 BTC and contributed 46 BTC of the 62 BTC increase, while self-mining climbed from 72 BTC to 88 BTC. BitFuFu ended August with 1,373 BTC, up 59 BTC from July, although that balance remained 298 BTC below June’s 1,671 BTC and included 44 BTC pledged for loans and miner procurement payables. Managed hashrate (mining computing capacity) reached 20.6 EH/s on Aug. 31, compared with 14.2 EH/s a month earlier. The company said capacity secured in June and July had come online, but the Sept. 3 unaudited update provided no new profit or payback figure for the Bitcoin committed to expansion. Shareholders’ next test is whether the larger operating base produces earnings that justify the Bitcoin expenditure, requiring contract economics and financial results beyond monthly production data.
