AI chip startup Celero Communications has raised $275 million in funding at a valuation exceeding $3 billion. The round was jointly led by Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners and CapitalG, Alphabet's venture-capital arm. Founded in 2024, Celero develops coherent digital signal processors (DSPs), specialized chips that improve high-speed fiber-optic data transmission between data centers and among server racks within a facility. The technology is designed to support larger AI chip clusters. Atreides Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer Gavin Baker will join Celero's board, Bloomberg reported.
