Uniswap Labs is expanding support for developers building Uniswap v4 Hooks, modular smart contracts that add custom logic before or after actions such as swaps and liquidity additions. The initiative includes instant routing for most Hook-compatible pools, a free API, a public Hooklist repository with metadata and security information, a pool-creation dropdown offering access to hundreds of deployed community Hooks, and Hook metadata on the Explore page. Security support includes an AI-assisted uniswap-hooks plugin launched on July 14, 2026, the Uniswap Foundation’s Self-Directed Security Framework published around June 1, 2026, and audit subsidies arranged through OpenZeppelin and Trail of Bits. Hooks can enable dynamic fees, custom pricing curves, limit orders, time-weighted average price execution, MEV redistribution and oracle integrations without changing core protocol code.
