Space and Time has integrated Chainlink’s privacy technology into its virtual data infrastructure and Virtual Vaults, its infrastructure for institutional on-chain lending. The system is designed to verify whether collateral held across crypto exchanges, prime brokers and private financial systems meets lending conditions without giving lenders direct access to borrowers’ full portfolios or private API credentials. Space and Time combines blockchain and database technology to provide verified information for applications that require stronger privacy protection. Chainlink Confidential HTTP processes private API requests inside a trusted execution environment (TEE), while the resulting calculation can be converted into a zero-knowledge proof, a way to verify information without revealing it. The proof can then be checked onchain. The approach is intended to support more continuous collateral verification than periodic audits or attestations, although its effectiveness will depend on data reliability, execution-environment security and the precision of lending requirements. Chainlink announced the integration in a September 8, 2026, X post. Wider adoption, live lending deployments and the amount of collateral monitored through Virtual Vaults remain unestablished.
