Battalion Oil Corporation announced an equity investment in Collide Industrial Technologies Inc. and a Strategic Partner designation, giving Battalion priority access to Collide’s Operations System and product advisory rights. Collide’s AI-native platform is built for oil and gas workflows across upstream, midstream and oilfield services, with the stated aim of reducing operating costs, shortening cycle times and making legacy data usable. Battalion will deploy the system under an executed subscription agreement, beginning with the consolidation of more than 100 terabytes of well files, land records, contracts and production history into a queryable business model. Planned applications include gas marketing reconciliation, field invoice review, power usage and hedging, and well failure diagnostics. Riggs, Collide’s AI work environment, is expected to reach Battalion’s production engineers at approximately day 90. Battalion said the partnership could support mergers and acquisitions, lower lease operating expense, improve capital efficiency and accelerate its multi-year drilling program. The investment is financed with balance sheet cash, although its financial terms were not disclosed. Battalion is also exploring a large-scale data center on company-owned surface acreage in West Texas using existing power, water and natural gas infrastructure. Both companies described the arrangement as part of a broader effort to apply domain-specific AI to oil and gas operations, while Battalion cautioned that Collide is an early-stage company and that expected benefits depend on data quality, adoption and successful integration.
