Evommune will not advance oral EVO756 for atopic dermatitis after the experimental drug failed to meet its primary and secondary endpoints across all tested doses in a Phase 2b trial. The 12-week study enrolled 121 adults with moderate-to-severe disease and monitored them through Week 14. EVO756 missed the primary endpoint measuring percentage change in Eczema Area and Severity Index score at Week 12. Evommune plans to make EVO301, an IL-18BP fusion protein with positive Phase 2a proof-of-concept data, its leading atopic dermatitis program and intends to start a Phase 2b trial in mid-2027. The company will continue evaluating EVO756 for migraine prophylaxis after dosing the first patient in a Phase 2b study in July. That trial will enroll about 330 adults with refractory migraine and is expected to produce topline data in 2027. Evommune said EVO756 was generally well tolerated and that its balance sheet supports operations into 2029. Shares were down 10.55% at $11.70 in Wednesday premarket trading, while William Blair maintained a Market Perform rating.
