Marvell Technology Chairman and CEO Matt Murphy attributed the chipmaker’s approximately 241% stock surge over the past year to a decade of relationships with major technology companies, compared with a 6.6% gain for rival Broadcom. Speaking Tuesday on CNBC’s Mad Money, Murphy said hyperscalers need confidence that chip suppliers can deliver on schedule and at scale. He said Marvell’s credibility has helped it serve every major U.S. hyperscaler with custom silicon while selling optical connectivity products across the broader industry. Marvell expects roughly $12 billion in revenue this year and $18 billion in fiscal 2027, with more than $15 billion of next year’s revenue projected to come from data centers. The company has expanded relationships with Google and Nvidia, reported record second-quarter revenue of $2.74 billion, and plans an investor day on Oct. 6.
