Cosmax and L'Oréal have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand their more than 20-year relationship from product supply into broad research and development cooperation for the global beauty market. The agreement covers joint development of products for overseas markets, discovery of innovative raw materials and active ingredients, and new formulations and product formats inspired by South Korean beauty trends. The signing took place in France on the afternoon of the 8th during a state visit marking 140 years of diplomatic relations between South Korea and France, and Cosmax announced it on the 9th. The companies began working together in 2004, while a 2023 agreement focused on skin microbiome ingredients and eco-friendly formulations. They plan to establish detailed implementation plans and timelines in follow-up discussions.
