Charles Schwab’s Prime Advantage Money Fund reported at least $8.32 million of XRP exchange-traded fund shares in collateral baskets backing five non-cleared repurchase agreements as of Aug. 31. The agreements, worth nearly $4 billion in total, involved JPMorgan Securities and Bofa Securities and included products from Grayscale, Canary, Franklin and Bitwise. The money fund did not directly purchase the XRP ETFs; the shares were pledged by borrowers as security for short-term cash lending. XRP ETF collateral rose from about $36,000 in April to $8.32 million in August, which was the first month all four major U.S. spot XRP ETFs appeared together in the reported collateral baskets. Separately, Schwab-affiliated funds disclosed $1,011,417 of Grayscale XRP Trust ETF shares as collateral, while Cyber Hornets’ S&P 500 & XRP 75/25 Strategy ETF listed XRP as its largest holding at 22.5%.
