Euro-denominated stablecoins reached $848.1 million on September 7, up from $691.7 million at the start of 2026 and representing 22.6% growth, according to Token Terminal. They added about $156 million in net supply during the first eight months of the year, nearly matching the $159 million increase in dollar stablecoins, although the euro market remained about one-350th the size of the dollar market. EURC and EURCV accounted for 82% of euro stablecoin supply, while Ethereum absorbed 69.4% of new inflows and Solana took 14.7%. Token Terminal said growth is currently being driven more by issuers than underlying user demand, leaving limited euro liquidity in DeFi and a supply-demand gap as key challenges.
