Centrus Energy Corp. and Radiant signed a definitive multi-year contract for Centrus to supply HALEU, or high-assay, low-enriched uranium, for multiple Kaleidos microreactors. Deliveries are scheduled to begin before the end of the decade, adding a domestic fuel source as Radiant advances its microreactor fleet toward commercial and national security applications. Radiant will make prepayments to support Centrus’ domestic commercial enrichment capacity program. Because Centrus uses U.S.-origin technology and a U.S. manufacturing supply chain, the enrichment will be unobligated and available for national security applications. Centrus shares were trading 0.69% lower at $184.25 at the time of publication, according to Benzinga Pro.
