Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s layer-2 blockchain (secondary network for faster, cheaper transactions), recorded 1,750 daily transactions on Sept. 8, 2026, up 122% from 786 on Sept. 6, according to Shibariumscan. The increase followed a sharp drop the previous week, but the data remains subject to uncertainty because the block explorer is rebuilding its database. Shibariumscan said 51% of blocks had been indexed and warned that some displayed counts may be inaccurate. The network has undergone major infrastructure work, including server migration and chain reindexing, since late 2025. SHIB fell to $0.00000535 before recovering and was recently up 0.35% over 24 hours at $0.00000543, while gaining 6.35% over the week. Traders are focused on upcoming U.S. inflation data and the Federal Reserve’s Sept. 15-16 rate decision, with producer-price data due Thursday and consumer-price data due Friday.
