World has opened its standalone prediction market platform at world.xyz to more than 1 million waitlisted users, extending access beyond its Phantom wallet integration. The service has created more than 150,000 markets spanning sports, crypto, politics, finance, economics and culture, including NFL games, seven soccer leagues, Formula 1, the 2026 U.S. midterm elections and the Federal Reserve's next policy decision. Binary contracts settle in CASH, a dollar-backed stablecoin, while World routes orders to Solana liquidity providers in a non-custodial structure. Chainlink Data Streams and the Chainlink Runtime Environment supply data and automate resolution. World has not disclosed first-day volume, open interest or fees, leaving its scale relative to Kalshi and Polymarket unclear. The rollout coincided with Solana's Transaction V1 launch on Sept. 9 and an Alpenglow consensus overhaul scheduled for later in September. SOL traded at $101.20, down 2.1% over 24 hours, while remaining above key moving-average levels cited in the report.
