Robinhood Markets is expanding its crypto-linked products and tokenized securities as CEO Vlad Tenev seeks to broaden global access to U.S. financial assets. Tenev said Robinhood Chain and stock tokens provide access to U.S. assets for individuals in more than 120 countries, including markets with limited brokerage infrastructure. He said the tokens are backed one-to-one by underlying shares at the issuer and give holders economic exposure to those shares. Needham analyst John Todaro said crypto activity appears to be recovering after markets likely bottomed, potentially benefiting Robinhood and Coinbase. He also identified Robinhood Chain, perpetual futures, prediction markets and other new products as growth opportunities, while warning that rapid expansion could bring regulatory and legal challenges. Robinhood shares were down 0.46% at $116.80 at publication.
