Porsche has completed the sale of its stakes in Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Group after receiving regulatory approvals, ending its involvement in the Croatian electric hypercar maker and related businesses. The transaction generated nearly $1.2 billion, or around €1 billion, for the German sports-car manufacturer and is expected to support profitability. Porsche said the proceeds would help lift its 2026 automotive net cash flow margin forecast to 5.5%-7.5%, from 3%-5% previously, while €250 million will be allocated to pension obligations. The stakes were sold to a consortium led by U.S.-based investment firm HOF Capital, with Abu Dhabi-based BlueFive Capital as its largest investor. Porsche’s exit reflects its effort to focus on its core business amid weaker demand in China and a slower-than-expected shift to electric vehicles.
