U.S. stocks, semiconductor shares, Bitcoin and BNB fell as August producer inflation exceeded forecasts and renewed Middle East tensions pushed Brent crude above $105 a barrel. The Producer Price Index rose 5.4% year over year, above the 5.3% forecast and July's 4.8% increase, while Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's comments reduced expectations for rate cuts and increased bets on a possible rate increase. Bitcoin briefly reached $76,748 and fell more than 2% over 24 hours. BNB lost approximately 6% across two sessions, trading near $710 after declining from about $757; Ethereum fell close to 3%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.60% to 52,065.92, the Nasdaq declined 0.55% to 26,109.70 and the S&P 500 dropped 0.54% to 7,595.24. Investors awaited the Consumer Price Index and the Federal Reserve's September 15-16 meeting, with reports also referring to a meeting the following week.
