Lee Chan-jin, head of South Korea’s Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), outlined capital-market reforms at a September 8 London briefing attended by 22 global financial firms. The plans link affordable listing prices and voluntary efforts by undervalued companies to improve investor confidence, while proposing KOSDAQ reforms, expanded venture-capital funding, revised capital rules, shorter settlement cycles, longer trading hours and tokenized-securities infrastructure to attract overseas capital. During meetings on September 7, 8 and 9, Lee discussed consumer protection, prudential oversight, accounting supervision, pensions, digital operational risks, virtual assets and stablecoins with UK regulators.
