Korea Credit Information Services appointed Yoo Soo-young, 58, as its fourth president through a general assembly resolution announced on the 10th. Yoo, a former spokesperson for South Korea's finance ministry, began his term by visiting each department and meeting employees. In his inaugural address, he pledged to expand inclusive finance, drive a fundamental shift toward productive finance and develop KCIS into financial infrastructure that accelerates AI transformation, or AX. He also urged employees to engage actively with the financial industry and called for rigorous data protection and security management. Yoo entered public service through the 39th administrative civil service examination and held several policy, international organizations and strategy posts at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. His appointment marks the first time a finance ministry official has led KCIS.
