Celltrion has expanded Omlyclo, its omalizumab biosimilar, to 26 European countries just over a year after its launch in September last year. The company said Omlyclo’s share of Spain’s omalizumab market exceeded 90% as of July this year, while sales in Italy surpassed initial targets. IQVIA estimated that Omlyclo held about 16% of the European omalizumab market in the first quarter, roughly six months after launch. Celltrion has secured supplier status in tenders across Catalonia, the Basque Country, Asturias and Valencia, and has been rolling out a 300 mg formulation alongside its 75 mg and 150 mg doses. All three strengths are available in prefilled syringe and auto-injector formats. At the 2026 European Respiratory Society Congress in Barcelona, Celltrion demonstrated the products and hosted an expert session on omalizumab’s use and long-term safety in allergic asthma. Novartis reported that second-quarter Xolair revenue fell 23% to $342 million, citing sustained biosimilar competition. Celltrion plans further tenders, medical engagement and indication-specific marketing, including participation in a global urticaria conference in Berlin in December.
