Vessel transits through the Strait of Hormuz fell to seven on Wednesday from 12 the previous day and below the 10-day average of 14, preliminary shiptracking data showed on Thursday. Four vessels exited and three entered, although ships with transponders turned off are excluded from the count. One exiting vessel was the very large crude carrier Finland Prosperity, carrying nearly 2 million barrels of crude; no liquefied natural gas tankers exited. Traffic at the Bab el-Mandeb Strait was steadier, with 28 commodity ships transiting, close to the 10-day average of 27.
