Huawei Technologies has raised the suggested price of its Ascend 950DT AI accelerator by roughly 60% over three months to 250,000 yuan ($37,300), as tight supplies of high-bandwidth memory, or HBM, increase production costs amid surging demand for Chinese alternatives to Nvidia. The new price is aligned with Nvidia's B200, according to a person familiar with the matter, though both companies' pricing varies by order size and purchases of related networking equipment. The latest pricing report follows earlier accounts that put the 950DT increase at 20% to 50% over two months, depending on contract terms. Huawei is prioritizing major Chinese technology companies and AI infrastructure builders for deliveries, while DeepSeek plans to use at least 160,000 top-end Huawei accelerators in an Inner Mongolia data-center project. Huawei manufactured somewhere in the low hundreds-of-thousands of 950DT units this year, Bloomberg News reported last week. Cambricon has also reportedly raised prices by as much as 30%, while Huawei sales representatives have cited particularly limited HBM supplies as a cost pressure.
