Himax Technologies will showcase its automotive display portfolio and 3D sensing technologies at the Society for Information Display's Vehicle Displays and Interfaces Symposium on September 15-16, 2026, at Huntington Place in Detroit. The company will present automotive TDDI (touch and display driver integration) chips with high-speed eDP interfaces, local-dimming integration, knob-on-display and capacitive-button support, user-aware touch control, and a multi-output timing controller. Its demonstrations will also include glasses-free 3D, head-orientation tracking, 3D eye and hand tracking, and micro- and nano-pattern manufacturing services from subsidiary Himax IGI Precision Ltd. Himax says its portfolio addresses larger, more numerous and more varied vehicle displays, including curved, multi-display and pillar-to-pillar designs. The company, founded in 2001 and headquartered in Tainan, Taiwan, is a global fabless semiconductor provider with around 2,200 employees, 2,555 granted patents and 318 pending patents as of June 30, 2026.
