VerifiedX Foundation launched a $15 million financing round on Sept. 9 with Cantor Fitzgerald as its investment banking partner, targeting institutional infrastructure for Bitcoin-backed products. The foundation says it has secured initial institutional capital but has not disclosed the amount raised, investors, financing structure, valuation or closing date. Proceeds are intended for custody integrations, exchange listings, Bitcoin distribution and lending infrastructure. VerifiedX plans BitGo custody support for vBTC and Base-based vBTC.b after the financing closes, and expects to announce its first centralized exchange listing within weeks. The project says unnamed tier-one exchanges will list vBTC and VFX, while lending products remain under development. The financing target and operational plans have not been independently confirmed by BitGo, exchanges or Cantor Fitzgerald.
