Six South Korean P2P finance firms called for predictable entry standards as Toss prepares to enter the sector and the four largest financial holding groups were reportedly reviewing entry. MoneyMove, Mowda, EarnestAI, EightPercent, PFCT and Hanpass Financial said large platforms combining loan comparison, brokerage and P2P services could favor their own or affiliated products, use competitor information and distort competition. They warned that the mid-interest loan market is structurally close to zero-sum under current rules, so large funding injections could intensify competition and weaken smaller firms rather than expand the market. The operators urged transparent recommendation and exposure criteria, protection for competitor information, equal affiliate and non-affiliate transaction terms, and objective consumer disclosures. They said they would work with financial authorities, industry participants and experts on market-entry and competition principles.
