Energy Transfer, USA Compression Partners, Sunoco LP and SunocoCorp LLC said they will move their primary listings from the New York Stock Exchange to the Texas Stock Exchange in early October. The announcements strengthen the fledgling venue’s effort to challenge the NYSE and Nasdaq after it began trading in July. Texas Capital Bancshares also said last month that two of its ETFs would leave the NYSE for the TXSE. The companies shifting their primary listings have a combined market capitalization of nearly $100 billion, according to James Lee, chairman and CEO of TXSE. Analysts say the exchange’s longer-term challenge will be converting Texas’s business-friendly policy appeal into a sustained stream of listings despite the incumbents’ liquidity, market infrastructure and established corporate relationships.
