ARK Invest reallocated technology exposure on Sept. 9, 2026, buying 43,091 Meta shares for about $27.9 million and selling 84,392 Alphabet shares for approximately $27.8 million. The purchases included 38,304 Meta shares through the ARKK ETF and 4,787 through ARKW, while the Alphabet sales comprised 72,803 shares through ARKK and 11,589 through ARKW. Meta shares rose about 7% after launching Muse, a personal AI agent built by Meta Superintelligence Labs on the Muse Spark 1.3 foundation model. The company says Muse can book trips, shop and respond to emails, and the internally named Hatch project supports Mark Zuckerberg’s ambition of delivering "personal superintelligence" to Meta’s users. Meta also acquired Swedish AI firm Stilla.ai and expects AI-chip and infrastructure spending to exceed $130 billion this year. Analysts described Muse as a potentially important product cycle but said user adoption, engagement and monetization must be demonstrated before investors assign significant value to the business. ARK’s Alphabet reduction reflects concerns over the company’s AI infrastructure spending, talent departures and declining shares, although Google Cloud growth and tensor processing unit sales offer potential sources of returns. The trade extends ARK’s earlier shift toward Meta and biotechnology, including purchases of Beam Therapeutics, CRISPR Therapeutics and Intellia Therapeutics, alongside a reduction in Tempus AI.
