His comments followed Nvidia and CrowdStrike’s September 1 launch of SafeMind, a threat-detection system built with Nvidia’s Nemotron large language models, as CrowdStrike reported an 89% annual increase in AI-enabled cyberattacks and a fastest recorded eCrime breakout time of 27 seconds. Huang also rejected concerns that Nvidia’s investments in AI companies create circular demand for its chips, saying the company invests only where it sees established customer demand. Nvidia said last week it would acquire AI startup Hugging Face for approximately $13 billion, though the transaction was previously reported as a $12.9 billion purchase.
