Avio reported a 7.3% increase in first-half adjusted core earnings as it expands in the United States and increases launcher production. Net revenue rose 17.5% to €276.0 million, driven by higher output for Vega-C launchers and Ariane 6 boosters. The company is establishing a solid rocket motor facility in Virginia and selling a minority stake to Advent International to help fund its U.S. operation. CEO Giulio Ranzo said some proceeds could also support U.S. M&A deals to accelerate the production ramp-up. The facility’s design is progressing, with groundbreaking scheduled for the end of September. Avio’s order backlog was €2.05 billion at the end of June, down 5.4% from December-end, while shares closed at 2.7% after falling as much as 9.5%.
