Renaldas Radvila has resigned as CEO of Energijos skirstymo operatorius (ESO), with the board accepting his resignation on September 10 as work to repair damage from Lithuania’s record storm continued into its third week. September 30, 2026, is considered his final day in office. Audrius Ruseckas, head of ESO’s Finance and Administration Service, will become interim CEO on October 1, 2026, while the board immediately begins selecting a permanent successor. Radvila said he was taking responsibility for the company’s preparedness and response, while Ignitis Group CEO Darius Maikštėnas called for stronger network resilience, faster decision-making and quicker service restoration.
