Bitwise Investment Advisers will liquidate and close BWOW, its spot Dogecoin ETF, after its final trading day on NYSE Arca on Oct. 14, 2026. The fund began trading on Nov. 26, 2025 and will distribute cash to remaining shareholders on Oct. 22 based on its Oct. 21 net asset value. Bitwise said the closure is intended to optimize its product range for evolving investor needs. BWOW held roughly 8.2 million DOGE worth about $688,000 on its website, while another reported figure put its assets at about $722,000. The fund recorded cumulative net inflows of negative $1.23 million and faced limited liquidity. Bitwise began pursuing the product by registering a Dogecoin ETF entity in Delaware in January 2025, then removed a delaying amendment from its SEC registration statement in November, allowing it to take effect after 20 days unless the agency intervened. BWOW launched amid a broader expansion of crypto funds beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum, with Grayscale introducing Dogecoin and XRP ETFs days earlier. Across spot Dogecoin ETFs, cumulative net inflows reached about $12 million, while corporate Dogecoin holders CleanCore and Bit Origin also paused purchases. DOGE fell to $0.082 before recovering to $0.083 as bearish technical indicators pointed to downside risk toward $0.081 and $0.08 support.
