The Korea Exchange (KRX) will launch its After Market from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on September 14, replacing the existing 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. single-price session with real-time trading. Most KOSPI and KOSDAQ-listed stocks, including depository receipts, will be eligible, while investment-warning and delisting-bound stocks will be excluded. The new session will apply the regular market’s 30% price fluctuation limit and compete directly with alternative exchange Nextrade (NTX), which offers about 600 stocks and fees roughly 30% below KRX’s. ETF and ETN trading during the evening remains postponed because of investor-protection and volatility concerns.
