Kalshi plans to seek approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and Securities and Exchange Commission for roughly 60 perpetual futures linked to large-cap stocks and exchange-traded funds, including Tesla, Apple and Nvidia. Each cash-settled contract would represent 100 shares, trade 23 hours a day five days a week and require minimum margin of about 15% of notional value. The company would limit underlying stocks to those with market capitalizations of at least $100 billion and average daily trading volume of at least $450 million. The proposal would extend Kalshi's regulated perpetual-futures offerings beyond Bitcoin, gold, silver, copper and equity indexes, but faces a complex joint-regulation process and scrutiny from CME Group and Citadel Securities.
