South Korea’s KOSDAQ-listed Amotech reached its 29.98% daily price limit at 15,130 won as investors focused on expectations that its multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) business will expand from automotive electronics into AI infrastructure. The rally followed a 35 billion won rights offering and bonus issue aimed at expanding MLCC capacity, as well as an IBK Investment & Securities report identifying AI data centers as the company’s key growth driver. The broker retained its Buy rating while lowering its target price from 42,000 won to 30,000 won after the share issues. Analyst Kim Woon-ho expects AI-related customers including Coherent and Innolight to support growth, with AI accounting for about 40% of MLCC revenue in the third quarter and nearly 50% in the fourth. Tightening MLCC supply and demand from AI data centers and high-performance servers also lifted related shares, including Samwha Capacitor, which rose 19.97% to 138,800 won.
