LG AI Research and South Korea's National Pension Service signed a memorandum of understanding in Seoul's Gangseo district on the 11th to jointly develop a finance-specific AI assistant for pension-fund management. The partners will combine LG AI Research's homegrown EXAONE model with the NPS's large-scale data and investment expertise to build forecasting and analysis tools tailored to fund management. Their first project is an AI-based exchange-rate analysis service that they plan to deploy in actual fund-management operations. LG AI Research also plans to draw on technology from EXAONE Business Intelligence, its financial AI agent supplied to the London Stock Exchange Group, Koscom and Kiwoom Securities. EXAONE BI covers about 8,000 listed companies in South Korea and the United States. The NPS and LG AI Research said the partnership is intended to improve fund-management expertise and efficiency and support investment returns.
