A tokenized version of DraftKings stock generated $39 million in trading volume within three hours of launching on Solana through Backpack Securities and Sunrise infrastructure. DKNG went live at about 20:00 UTC on September 11, shortly after US equity markets closed, and the volume equaled 13.5% of DraftKings' total US stock trading volume that day. Each token is redeemable 1:1 for a DraftKings share through Backpack Securities, allowing users to move between the on-chain token and a conventional brokerage share. The asset trades continuously on Raydium and is available through Jupiter, Phantom, Solflare and Kamino. The launch occurred as Solana's tokenized-equity supply reached a record $684 million and xStocks surpassed $800 million in assets under management. An Allium report found that 63% of Solana tokenized-equity trading occurs when US exchanges are closed, highlighting demand for around-the-clock access. StonkFun also enabled markets quoted in DKNG, allowing users to create fixed-supply tokens paired against the tokenized stock.
