Lapalabs, operator of the 4050 fashion platform Queenit, has reapplied for regulatory approval to become SK Stoa's largest shareholder and take management control after voluntarily withdrawing its earlier application on July 16. Following concerns from an expert review panel about funding adequacy and operational plans, Lapalabs and SK Telecom signed a revised agreement for the approximately 110 billion won ($82.0 million) transaction. The restructured acquisition will be financed entirely through equity, without acquisition financing or external borrowing, while SK Telecom will retain a stake. Lapalabs said it will maintain operations, prioritize employment security and combine TV home shopping with mobile businesses. The regulator must decide within 60 days of receiving the application, subject to a possible 30-day extension, while opposition from SK Stoa's labor union remains unresolved.
